At the beginning of this Summer, my husband and I had the privilege of meeting Chandra & Dave Peterson at a local art event. She is the newest creator of one-of-a-kind fan birds. It is my understanding that only 11 people in the United States actually have this talent of fan carving, an ancient Russian folk art. Her doves, hummingbirds, and love birds are created from one piece of wood. Chandra’s next event is The Yankee Peddler Festival in Canal Fulton, Ohio being held September 8 & 9, 15 & 16, and 22 & 23, 2018.
